Looking at a rotax again

So I may buy another 912 and wondering how to tell what year it is? looks like engine model number is 5648579. Anyone know how to decode these?

I just did a quick search and see that 5645006 was made on 5/11/2005.Just a guess, but maybe yours is a year or two newer???  JImChuk

I thought the change to the heavier duty case was in 2006.
