Broken tube repair sugestions

Any good ideas on how to fix this tube. Broken behind rear elevator monting tab.

Jim beat me to it, but I'd also want a good look at the inside of that tube - it looks like there is a lot of rust around that crack.

Seems like an odd place for a crack.  Any idea how it came about?  Just a wild guess, but was it being trailered tail first without gust locks on the elevator?  Can't imagine what the elevator controls look like from one end to the other if that is what caused it.... JImChuk

Bout as easy to replace the entire tube there.

If you look at page 4-67, and 4-69, there are some possible solutions.    If the tube is cracked because it is all rusted away though, better to replace it I would think.   JImChuk

Great video, ordered everything materials Friday. No internal rust just at the crack. Plane has been outside for a year now. Probally better pull fabric on horizontal next.
