TJay,  You asked about the dual flaperon counterweights.  I don't have a manual handy at the moment, but this is what I remember.  The dual weights were used on the speedster wing, and the flaperon actually had the skin cut throught in the middle??  As I recall, the idea was so the flaperon could twist better and follow what the wing was doing in aggressive maneuvers.  I didn't find if with the later models that became standard practice on all wing types.   I just went and googled Kitfox images, and it seems like quite a few of the later Kitfoxes have dual ones, but not all.  Could maybe dig through some of Trent Palmers videos to see if he has them.  I did see one picture of a Kitfox parked next to his plane, and it had the dual ones, but I couldn't tell if he did or not.  JImChuk
