Who plans to attend OshKosh by Gosh this year? This will be my first time there. I hope to see some Avids.

I'll be there but not my Avid - it's flying the beams in my second hangar for a while.  I don't think an Avid is exactly what I'd fly from Florida to Wisconsin anyway.  My 5th wheel will be in Camp Scholler again this year.

I'm in Phoenix AZ. My CFI has a war story about flying his Challenger to Osh years ago. Said it took a while. LOL

I'll be there all week in the usual spot, down at the ultralight field.

Wear a hat so I'll recognize you. Admittedly, I don't know everybody here. What plane will you have?

Cool. I'll try to look you up. Still hope to see an older Avid flyer or two.

Hah. Same parking place as the previous time! Didn't realize it till I saw the picture again.

I was there all week and didn't see any Avid Flyers. Plenty of things that look like Avid Flyers but all missing the rounded tail feathers. They still had a few old central console Kitfox fuel tanks for sale at the Ultralight barn. I seen a Avid Catalina amphibious listed for $13,000.00 on the for sale boards that looked like a bargain. Later in the week someone had put an X through the listing so it may have been sold.

I saw one Mark IV waaaay up north in the homebuilt parking. One of the reasons for going to Osh was to find Avids, talk with their owners and possibly get a ride around the patch. No dice. I left a note on the mark 4 and he called me AFTER he got home. Rats. I heard at one point there were 12 thousand planes on the ground at Osh. WOW.

I DID meet Joey (C5 engineer) and Larry  (Av8r3400). Neither one seemed overly talkative. Guess I must have bad breath or something...
