Kitfox Mk2 wing rib repair

Hi everyone,

I'm resurrecting some wings for my Mk2 Kitfox and they have a couple of cracked/damaged ribs.

I want to replace these but I dont want to go through the hassle of removing all the ribs just to slide the damaged ones off the spars.

Upon further inspection it would appear that the ribs are actually in 2 pieces and join above and below the rear spar then the cap strip goes all the way from front to back, is this correct ?

If I am reading this right I can simply remove cap strip then remove the front or rear part of the damaged rib, glue it in place then fit a new cap strip.

Any ideas on this concept ?

Cheers,

Skelly.

I would imagine you can do as you are thinking.  It would be far easier then removing all the ribs that don't need to be addressed.  JImChuk
