Hi there new to the forum and currently own an Avid Mk4 (Tricycle configuration) but weight and balance says I need to ad 8lbs to the tail

due to having large fin heads oil cooler etc fitted so thought a tail wheel would look better than a lump of lead hanging off the back.

So If there is anyone with a suitable tail wheel doesn't have to work just being used as ballast please let me know

I have a 6" maule I would let go, but a piece of lead bolted on where the tailspring mounts would be more streamlined and less obvious.  But if you do want the tail wheel, I'll sell it.  Guessing you have a Subaru engine?  JImChuk

I have the lead bolted there already weight is just under 4 lbs but as stated elsewhere on the forum another 4 lbs may be necessary and no its a Jabiru2200.

I have a Jabiru in my MK IV, and CG is not a problem.  I do have the battery mounted as far back as I can though.  Where is your CG at currently when you are flying with pilot and half fuel?  I do still have the Maule tailwheel though if that's what you want to do.  JImChuk
