Fiberglass Spring Gear

Hello All, I am in the process of modifying and recovering an Avid "C" . I am going to a tri gear configuration and would like to know if anyone has dimensions for the Grove type gear. I would be looking for the actual leg lengths and widths, but most importantly if there is any "rake" in the gear and how much so that I can build a mold to put the wheels in the proper position.

Any info on making brackets would also be helpful. I have seen a few Pictures on the site of others, but tubing dimensions would be helpful as well. Thanks for any help available.

I will post pictures of my gear construction as it progresses.

Terry

You can find the dimensions for all of the Grove gear on their website.

I had a set of Grove gear for a tri gear setup that I sold years ago.  A couple of months ago, I saw it on barnstormers for sale again with some other plane parts.  He wanted a lot more then I got for it though.  Maybe it's still on barnstormers if you search for it.  It was only 950 gross weight though.  It was painted yellow. I had made some marks on it with a green sharpe, and asked him about it, and the marks were still there.  That's how I knew it was mine for sure.   JImChuk
