Masking tape

Any recommendations for masking tape? Using Poly Tone.

For painting stripes, 3m fineline. For everything else I use the 3m blue painters tape.

I've used lacquer thinner at $50 or so for 5 gallons, rather then the $50 per gallon polyfiber reducer on the last few planes I've painted.   Then you want to use the green painters tape.  Can't use the blue tape with lacquer thinner.   And don't leave the green tape on for more then a day or you will have a tough time getting the glue off that moved from the tape to the paint.  If I was trying to mask off tighter corners, I would lay the tape on a piece of scrap lexan, cut it to shape and then peal it off and apply it to the plane.  Did 2 or 3" radiuses that way.   JImChuk
