I am rebuilding a KF3 .

Does anyone know of it is possible to remove the torquetube and hinges from the flaperons to clean them and repaint.

Thanks

I wouldn't suggest it just for cleaning an repainting. If one had damage, then there would be no choice. They are bonded together at the factory and not by the builder.  If one disassembles them, better plan on making a new set.

I have partialy takin a flaperon apart for a major repair, it was bent in half about middle of flaperon, so had to repair the tube and outer skin, there really isnt that much inside them nicely shaped foam that could b reproduced and the rivit holes have alot to do with the timing/degree of flaperon when backon plane i think.
BUT I WOULDNT SUGGEST ANY DISASSEMBILE FOR PAINTING ECT.

If u needed them to repair then yes.
