912 alternator in panel warning light

Hi all, when it comes to electrics, I'm easily confused....  That being said, I am wiring up my Kitfox 4/ Rotax 912 project.  In the Rotax manual, it shows how one can have a 3 watt light connected in that will light up when master switch is turned on, and then the light goes out when engine starts and alternator starts charging.  I have about the same setup on my Avid MK IV with the Jabiru engine and it works fine for me.   About all I can find are LED lights that consume far, far less then the 3 watts.  Will it make any difference if I use the LED warning light?  Thanks,  JImChuk

Shouldn't make any difference,   It wont get its power from a running engine.  Just the same power source all the other lights are on with. Just my opinion. But hope it makes sense.

I'm running 4 of the new LED lights in my panel one of which is hooked to the 912 regulator. So far so good.
