So you have a size comparison, here is what those look like on a Kitfox IV. They are mounted on the 8" Douglas ATV wheels.

If these are big enough, you probably can't beat the price.  $85 for 2 with free shipping.  JImChuk

That's what I paid for mine. A happy medium for bush tires without a lot of weight. I run about 8 psi in mine. Seems to be the go to bush tire for the classic Avid/Foxes. I am going to start calling the older Avid/Foxes classics instead of older models. Which they are when to talk about the early kit aircraft.

Are there any 21" atv tires like these for 6" rims?

I know about the dessers, but if I can save a few bucks that would be nice.

Here is a good comparison that i did when i took the Nancos off to install the Dessers, I did the swap cause i wanted to get away from the 8" wheel and 3/4" axels.  And wanted 1.5" axels.  I also have the weights of each someplace, But i remember the Dessers with 6" rim and complete clevland double puck caliper brake setup was 18.4lbs each,  and the same setup with goodyear 8.50x6'ribbed was 25lbs.

Tubeless. But I try to always land like a bird with sore feet!

How long have you been running the knobby tires? Interesting look for sure. Ever had them kind of grab on you due to not being perfectly straight on landing?

The knobby tires must have been used in some kits back in the day , I've actually seen a few with them. Ihavent had this one in the air yet. Still working on the fuel system and other maintenance items .

So I see this is where you landed, I read a lot of your post from the Challenger forumYahoo. I also sold my ch2 this past Oct.

Time for a new challenge

I liked the Challenger.  But I had to have folding wings and being a previous Kitfox builder, there wasn't any question. So I sold the challenger and completely reconditioned this classic model 2. From all indicators, it was a good solid move because Avid/Foxes are in high demand.
