So, I got my BasicMed exam...

Appearantly I didn’t read the extent of the exam, and to my surprise my doctor needed to look at my anus.  What the heck?  Why on earth does the FAA care about my anus?  Pucker factor?  Ability to grip the seat in an emergency?  I promised the doc it was there, but it didn’t matter what I said.

I just feel so dirty... needed to tell someone.  Maybe there are more of you that experienced this too, maybe we need a therapy group.

But seriously, what the hell FAA?!  Any doctors on the forum that can throw out a guess?

Not a real doctor, but I did play one in a school play one time. Cause the FAA wants to make sure they have something to chew if you make an error while flying!  And I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express!

Right of passage, all the army docs who did my flight physicals where required to have bratwurst sized fingers, on the plus side now my farts aren’t as loud.

Not only a Avid/Fox group, but a therapy group also!  Anybody flying around in a homebuilt airplane needs therapy, according to the rest of the world!

Maybe the State is making sure you can handle the Use tax on airplanes. ;)

Maybe the FAA doesn't want anyone flying who isn't a perfect asshole.

They are just checking your pucker factor as anyone that's to be a pilot will need a little more than most from time to time.

The proctol was standard for a Class III until several years ago they dropped it, well made it optional so it surprises me that it came back in the basic med.
