  1. I am getting ready to replace the bungees on my landing gear and I have read that I should use 3/8 Shock Cord (Aircraft Spruce 06-12400) at 90 inches between the loops.  As I was getting ready to buy the bungees, I noticed that they had these nice little fasteners (06-12900) which should work nicely.  Has anyone ever used them?  I presume here that it should be 90 inches bottom of fastener to bottom of fastener.
  2. I was just looking at the bungee cords on my newly acquired Avid Flyer (Model A/B/C little bit from each).  Everything that I have read says that you should use 3/8 bungee with 7 wraps on the bottom and 6 on the top.  The current bungees on the plane look to be at least 1/2" cord with three wraps on the bottom and two on the top.  Anyone have any idea of why this would have been set up this way?
  3. My bungees have been on the loose side and today I went from seven wraps to eight wraps. Was able to do it by myself with the help of clamps.

  4. I’m looking for the strength/force of the standard bungee setup. 90” loop to loop, 7 wraps of type I 3/8” shock cord (aircraft spruce ref. 06-12400). I.e. what is the force required to stretch it to the maximum expected extension...
Does anyone know, or know how to calculate it? (Asking before building a rig to measure it...)
