Does anyone have a picture of the mods they made to use the speedster radiator fairing for the rotax 912 radiator?   I'm assuming that the 912 radiator is the one to use- I'm in Texas, so it does get warm every now and then. I'd kicked back and forth using the smaller radiator, and using the heater core as an adjunct radiator if needed, but..
    Any pics would be appreciated!

  2. I know that this topic has been discussed several times, but anyway I would like to ask for some real life experiences. There should be folks who meanwhile have experience with both 2 and 4 stroke powerplants…
    Due to microlight regulation I`m interested mainly in comparison of 65(582) vs. 80 hp (912). So no focus on 912uls, zipper, edge,… options
    Is the swap worth the effort? Why/why not?
    Aside from short following pro and con list, how did your Kitfox IV changed? What real life numbers did you gain?

  5. There's an Avid Amphibian (N434YD) that the owner/builder might be willing to sell in Michigan. This is not his first build, or second, or..  Airworthiness issued in 2015, no damage history.  Builder logs are available. Set up with steam gauges and an EIS, 43 hours TTAF, 106 hours on the Rotax 912 (100hp).  Too many builds in the hangars, and all but this one now have Lycomings. (several kitfox, and the current amphibians are on pontoons). 
    IVO (medium) propeller, he has the hardware to convert it to in-flight adjustable, but built it to light sport specs, and registered it as a 2 seater (as I did on mine).  783 empty, Stainless steel header, custom paint, 29 gallons (center tank and 1 wing tank) total fuel capacity. No trailer included, but might be flexible in meeting partway?

    Any idea what a reasonable value might be?

  9. Brand new unused carb for sale. Was going to use for BMW conversion on my Avid but wound up going with a Jabiru 2200 and sold the BMW. Going through my airplane stuff and found this. Bing Model 64, ID# on the web is 64/32/395. Will work good for Jabiru or 912.
