Water Temp GuageHard to Find , Special Order Got this today for my Kitfox. Since the temp for the 582 is critical, this is way easier to read than the smaller westech dial guages

KitFox Service BulletinsGreetings.
I'm am looking for copies of Service Bulletins #2 and #3 For the KitFox II . I went to the Kitfox Manufacture site and went to the Service Bulletin Download area. When I tried to download SB #2 and SB#3 SB # 1 Downloaded instead. I think I emailed KitFox but I did FaceBook them and someone stated they would pass it on. Never heard anything else. Hoping someone out there has copies. I did a web search and found # 3 but it had typing over top of the bulletin haking it unreadable
Thanks , Safe Living & Flying

Don't know if my 582 was modified. Is there a way to find out? Should I stay with the 6-8 psi cap?

Not at the Plane However , the measurement of the radiator cap the top gasket that fits on the rim is 2 inches, the lower gasket is 1 1/2' thats on the spring that seats inside .

Rotax 582 RaDIATOR CAP WoesThe 1993 KitFox II with a Rotax 582 model 90 gray head I recently purchased and now working on the conditional inspection . The Radaitor Cap was the 6-8 PSi one that needed to be changed to the 13 psi one. Searching all forums I was lead to a cheap alternative which was a Motorbike Radiator Cap A Triumph part number T2108005 I found one and ordered it For around $25. Great. well when I got it it was to small. was the information wrong? So much time was wasted looking for it I decided to go ahead and and order the Rotax part number 922-072 from Leading Edge Airfoil. Well guess what it to was to small and the Triumph was an exact match.
Leading Edge suggested calling KitFox cause he thought they shipped out the caps with the kits and that it was proably a standared automotive Cap. I was able to supply the Listed part number from the build manual E-62- Kitfox did not have a match for the Cap- He did search and found some histroy that Denny AeroCraft, purchased the radiator caps from a local parts store. They did not use the cooling system from Rotax. no parts number available. Wonder how much other automotive parts were used? I going to return part to Leading edge unless someone want to buy it, I also have the Triumph clone cap for sale.
So before I go to the auto parts store and They ask what vehicke is it for? so they can lookit up on the computer cause they don't know how to find parts otherwise.
Does any one have an autopart number for the automotive cap I need ?
Ill try to add photos
Ist photo is the Triumph Cap any my old Cap 2nd Triumph part number,.3 filler neck on plane 4 My cap and thr Rotax cap,
Thanks for any feedback and hope this helps some of us with the older kits

Mechanical Fuel GuagesGreetings,
I have searched forums and only found mention of tube type wing fuel guages. I have a KF2 with 6 gal aluminum tanks with the below fuel guages pictures. One Guage shows below the empty mark when empty unlike the other which appears normal. Is there any adjustment on these or should the one that's below empty be replaced? If so anyone know where to get a replacement. Thanks

Sounds good Allen, . After the gear I would have to change the wheels , tires, and brakes wouldn't I. I think I have 3/4 axles. Ball park figure of the cost. Future project maybe,

Thanks, what am I'm looking at in these pictures? And what ideas would you want. From what I can tell of the pictures of your plane and landing gear they look taller.

I read some post that one should stay away from this type of gear because there was not enough travel and if you had a hard landing that you could bend the frame, love to hear all comments.
