    Not impressed with the WhirlWind. I see no improvement over the Warp Drive.

    I'm running a 2 blade tapered tip warpdrive. I have a 75" Whirlwind I will install after the landing gear upgrade. Can't wait to see if it's as smooth as everyone says it is. I got my WW used so I won't be bias cause it cost twice as much as my other prop.

    Slipper clutch is the best upgrade i have done! It really help with startup and shutdown operations. I can defiantly lower my idle stop screws now.

    Well the slipper clutch install is going as expected, I need to order some different sizes of shims. Now i wait on CPS. Also doing a ratio swap. Hope this quiets the prop some.

    Wow, it sounds like your Rotax has been nothing but problems. It stinks that you have had so much trouble with yours. Mine runs great, I'm just tinkering. Even if I didn't do one thing to it i would still be happy with the way it operates. BTW what year was your engine produced? Some of the early ones had ignition wiring issues. Did you complete the 5 year rubber replacement? Mine was over due and my carb sockets still looked new.

    Crossover doesn't seem to make much of a difference. The Ballence Master helped more. I have a slipper clutch on the way. By no means do I feel like my engine runs ruff. I just think it could be as  smooth with the ULS cylinders as it was with the 80hp

    I planned to tap the manifold so i could adjust the direction of the fitting, but there was not much material left after machining the hole. I opted to weld and prey its where i need it. hope to try it out this weekend.

    It helps some. I would not call it the Holy Grail of balance but i believe i could notice a difference. Next is the crossover 1'' mod and a slipper clutch for the gear box.

     Figuring out the setup. I will wait for the 1'' aluminum radiator fittings from Jegs to show up before i start cutting.

    Did you build your own crossover setup or buy the one from HAL? Can you take a picture for inquiring minds?

    Yes, i used the pistons that come with the cylinders. First run was yesterday and i flew it today. More power for sure but not as smooth as the lower compression 80hp. I will work some more on the carb sync tomorrow, it was really good at 5k but not as close at 3 to 4k. I suspect the cable its self. Looking at a Propeller Balance Master , just want everything as good as i can get it first.

    Thanks Chris. I have a machine shop at home, that i should really use more often. My full time job is almost 7 days a week between vacations. Pretty common to work 40 plus days straight. Work and home life don't leave much for hobbies.  Next project is to split a 912 and machine the case to the newer heavy duty specs. Here is a better pic of the lathe

    100hp Cylinders on a 912 UL
    I found a set of low time cylinders and piston assemblies from a 100hp ULS. Cheaper than a big bore kit. They have to be machined to fit the 80hp heads, very easy task. Maybe 1 hour total for set up and cutting all four.

    This is my second Rans s6. The tail cone is made from the same material on both. When adding a tail wheel there are sleeves that double the lower longerons maybe a gusset or two and the tail wheel mounting bracket. The S20 has a different fuselage like you describe.

    As it sets im currently cruising is 100mph @5gal and 93mph@4.5gal. It also out climbs the avid. Im very happy with the performance of both the Avid and the Rans.

    Im working on getting that training wheel off and a tail wheel on. AV Weld is building me a set of cub style with Aftershock suspension. I also ordered a T3 tail wheel suspension, still need the tail wheel. Thinking about the matco8'' wide
